About the Royalty Program
The Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo Royalty comprises a Queen and an Attendant. They are the faces of our rodeo, representing and promoting Elizabeth Stampede events at parades, other rodeos, community events, and more.
Throughout the reign year, the Queen and Attendant represent and promote the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo in various venues.
The Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo Foundation is proud to award a $1,000 scholarship each to the Queen and Attendant upon successful completion of their reign.

Royalty Clinic
The Royalty Clinic for 2025 is planned to be held on August 9th at Casey Jones Park from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The clinic is an opportunity for current and aspiring royalty, coordinators, and parents. Hosted by the current Queen and Attendant this covers all of the topics to earn a title and improve skills at any level.

Royalty Competition
The Royalty Competition 2025 is on September 6th at Casey Jones Park from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Contestants will compete in horsemanship, interviews, public speaking, personal appearance/modeling, and a written test. Titles will be awarded to highest points for Queen and Attendant as determined by a panel of judges.
Royalty Application Process
There are several steps involved with becoming the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo Royalty. Use the steps below and the buttons to complete each step.
All rodeo participants, volunteers, applicants, and royalty must sign a liability waiver each year.
1.
Each contestant must complete an application, upload a headshot, and provide proof of age.
2.
Royalty applicants and their parents or legal guardians must complete the Royalty Contract.
3.
Royalty applicants must submit three letters of recommendation from community members.

FAQs
When is the clinic and competition?
Clinic is on August 9, 2025 at Casey Jones Park from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Competition is on September 6, 2025 at Casey Jones Park from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
What are the age requirements?
Queen: Contestants must be 17-21 years of age by January 1 of the year for which she will hold the title.
Attendant: Contestants must be 15-19 years of age by January 1st the year for which she will hold the title.
Where do I have to live to be eligible for running?
Contestants must be Colorado residents and live within about 50 miles of Elizabeth.
What does the horsemanship entail?
Each contestant shall compete on the horse they plan to use during their reign. Each contestant must perform a pattern, Queen’s lap, and flag run.
Contestants must demonstrate to the judges that she always has control of her horse, it is well broke, accustomed to loud noises and lots of arena activity. Contestants will be scored on performance of pattern provided, lead changes, knowledge of their horse, care and tack. Horses must be parade-safe.
When does the speech topic come out?
The topic will be provided once the completed application is received.
