Open Chair Position Opportunities:

The Web/Tech Committee Chair is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the digital infrastructure and technology strategy of the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo. This includes managing the website, Microsoft 365 environment, livestreaming, data analytics, and on-site tech support. The Chair will lead a team of volunteers and collaborate with other committees to ensure all tech needs are met efficiently and securely.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience in website development and management (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace).
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration.
Familiarity with Power BI, Cognito Forms, and livestreaming technologies.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in high-pressure environments.
Passion for community events and nonprofit work.

Role Overview:
The Vendors Committee Chairperson is responsible for planning and overseeing all Vendor Alley and Food Court during the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo events. This includes plans for the participation of local and traveling vendors, food providers, and artisans so they can participate in the rodeo weekend. The very popular vendor alley typically sells out months prior to the rodeo weekend, and this group lays out vendor alley, prepares the booth spaces, and meets the special needs of our vendors including providing electrical power and other services. They plan for placement to meet the tight space constraints and spectator traffic.
Duties Include:
Lead and coordinate the Vendors Committee and volunteers (typically a small group or 4-5 volunteers)
Manage extensive and timely communication with and enrollment of Vendors during Q1 and Q2 of the year well prior to the rodeo weekend
Coordinate and manage the use of the software (currently RIDE) to manage all vendor enrollments
Design and implement layout for vendors on Vendor Alley and the Food Court
Coordinate with the Parking Committee chair Vendor parking in a designated location
Provide direction and training to volunteers during events, including check-in of all vendors and efficient placement of vendors in assigned locations
Coordination with Security team to sweep Food Court area between events on Saturday
Communicate with other committees to align operations
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
Is a strong communicator, team leader and event planner
Can plan ahead and handle real-time decision-making during events
Has a positive, can-do attitude (and maybe owns a pair of boots!)
Can commit time for pre-event planning during Q1 and Q2 of the year and be on-site during rodeo weekend(s)

The Parking Committee Chairperson is responsible for planning and overseeing all parking operations during the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo events. This includes coordinating volunteer parking crews, establishing traffic flow, and ensuring safety and efficiency for guests, contestants, vendors, and staff.
Duties:
Lead and coordinate the Parking Committee and volunteers
Design and implement parking and traffic plans
Communicate with other committees and security to align operations
Set up signage, access routes, and designated areas (VIP, contestants, vendors, etc.)
Provide direction and training to volunteer parking crews during events

Entertainment is responsible for planning and operating the Rodeo Beer Garden. The Beer Garden is open Thursday through Sunday. We are looking for volunteers who like to laugh and have fun while interfacing with rodeo patrons. Our volunteers check ID’s, sell alcohol tickets, pour and distribute the liquor. Most of the shifts are about four to four and a half hours, and require no particular skills sets – just a great attitude! Beer, bands, and dancing have been a part of the Stampede for 50 years, and it can be a very rewarding part of your Elizabeth Stampede volunteer experience.n

The Marketing committee is responsible for the branding and messaging of the Rodeo and its affiliations. We use a variety of tools to “get the word out” about the Elizabeth Stampede, Concert, and committee activities. The committee is responsible for the Elizabeth Stampede magazine that reaches more than 10,000 homes, manages our social media, and works with the press and media for coverage of our events.

The Royalty Program oversees and supports the young ladies that serve as ambassadors for our rodeo. A Queen and Attendant represent the Elizabeth Stampede throughout the Mountain States Circuit (Colorado and Wyoming) and at local rodeos, charity, and community events. These young ladies are knowledgable about PRCA, animal welfare, the sport of rodeo, and the Western rodeo overall.

Several volunteer opportunities are available on the concert committee. Gate attendants greet spectators and scan tickets. Ushers direct spectators to their seats or direct them to the appropriate general admission areas. Security volunteers help with bag checks, watching perimeter of arena, checking wrist bands to be sure spectators are where they are supposed to be and guarding front of stage. Stage hands assist with stage set up, load in and load out of artists’.
